On the Road...A very long day. 14 hours in the bus from Canoa back to Cuenca. I finished reading Savages today. About a hundred fifty pages of reading. I am so tired. Here is a picture from the road. I am amazed at how much the landscape of Ecuador changes as you drive from the coast to the mountains. It is a very big difference – banana plants turn into very rugged trees and brush. The air becomes so much lighter, the fog rolls in, and the temperature drops about 20 degrees. Forget West Virginia, Ecuador is wild and wonderful.
