Cascada...Today we went to Girón. Girón is a small town about 40 km southeast of Cuenca. It has some amazing waterfalls (like this one) and we went on about a two-hour hike. When we approached the waterfall, it was as if we were entrapped in a hurricane -- violent wind and cold cold air. There was also a group of high-school girls who seemed to be on a field trip that went on the same hike with us. Here are some of the girls. They were all shrieking and running around the waterfall when we all got there. I got some pretty good sound recordings of both the waterfalls and of the girls having fun.
